We LOVE Big Sur

I fell in love with Big Sur at a very young age.  My family would go camping at Pfeiffer Park and I always felt like it was such a magical special place.  I feel like a little woodsy nymph when I explore the forest up there. So needless to say when we got the opportunity to help plan a wedding up there we jumped at the chance!  

We are super pumped for our upcoming wedding at the Henry Miller Library in the spring and had a little mini vacay this weekend to explore and get our creative juices flowing.  We stayed at Treebones Resort, which we highly recommend! 

We reserved a little yurt for a night and it was pretty epic.  They also have a yummy sushi bar overlooking the gorgeous Big Sur coast and it was soooo delish, some of the best sushi we have ever had.  

So pumped for this wedding…It’s going to be a magical one!

With Fall right around the corner, we can all agree that there is a renewed spirit to get together. Whether it be a girl’s night to catch the new season of New Girl (!!!) or a dinner party at your place, having a fuss-free centerpiece that looks great week after week is in order.

We are so excited to announce that Nicole + Vince’s wedding is on Green Wedding Shoes today! Isn’t the ACE Palm Springs just an effortlessly cool spot to get married at?

We had the opportunity to do colorful florals and design the program for the beautiful wedding LVL Events planned. Our good friend Natalie Xanthakis creates such playful glitter letter signage- check her work here. Thank you EP Love for such lovely photos!

We just hosted a baby bash for one of our closest friends- her childhood friends flew out from all over the country to celebrate and party!  We did not want anything to feel baby-ish or pastel, and wanted to create decor that she could repurpose in Baby Violet’s nursery. 

The “Wishes for Violet” cards were a huge hit! It will be so sweet when Violet is older and can read how FUNNY AND AWESOME her mom’s friends are. 

HELLO! Check out this amazing dress by Free People! It is reminiscent of the dress the bride wore in this Yosimite Elopement that we are currently coveting (times a million).

If you are looking for a unique boho-esque dress and you are on a tight budget, this could be the dress for you! Wow, that sounded like Stefon from Weekend Update. We would recommend just having alterations done to the lining.

Have y’all heard of the NotWedding? It’s the coolest fake wedding/bridal show that showcases amazing vendors in action, as opposed to them sitting behind a slightly decorated table handing out business cards. Our close and beautiful friends, Rhain and Zach, are the pretend bride and groom in Nashville’s first NotWedding. Check out their stunning fake “Save the Date.” 

Also, while I’m talking about Rhain and Zach, they own the greatest photobooth company, Majestic Photobooths, which caters to events in Atlanta, Nashville, New York, Philly, D.C. and a couple other cities!

Katie & Jeff | Rancho Las Lomas

We are so happy and excited to share the florals we did for Katie & Jeff a couple months ago!  The florals consisted of lush garden roses, peonies, lilac, anenomes and ranunculus.   Isn’t the floral arch absolutely amazing!?  Congrats Katie & Jeff- we had so much fun being a part of your day!

Our final wedding of the weekend was at the most amazing Mid Century Modern home. Erin and Ian have such great style and kept the decorations minimal and emphasized on spherical shapes to harmonize with the existing decor. It was such an amazing time! We wish you the very best Erin and Ian! 

We just got back from a double wedding weekend in the always inspiring Palm Springs. Our first stop was Nicole and Vince’s wedding at the Ace Hotel, where we provided them with florals and wedding programs. Nicole and LVL Events goldified and glitterized all the bud vases for the the table arrangements, which was such a nice touch. We are so happy with how everything turned out- and not to mention, can we please talk about how perfect those peonies are?!

Every girl gets excited when the new Free People catalog arrives! This Guest of Honor Dress makes a wonderful dress for a laid-back bride for your wedding day or rehearsal dinner- and the price tag doesn’t hurt either!

Hellogoodbye’s “Did It Kill You?” Party

A few months back, we created an amazing live flower backdrop for Hellogoodbye’s record re-release party. While it took forever to create, the final result was well worth our backaches!  We think it turned out insane; so bright and colorful and just what the party needed- a fun pop of floral color!

Trisha and Justin are two of the happiest people we have ever met. They met over 10 years ago while working for Coachella- so it only made sense to have their wedding where it all began! Every detail of there wedding was  fun, carefree and made with love. We had the best time working with Trisha and Justin to make their day perfect, and they had the best friends helping them along the way.
